Katie’s Bright Kitchen Original Cookbook

I created this cookbook in November 2017, over a year into my Bright Line Eating journey. I lost 70 lb following the program, cooking joyfully and eating deliciously throughout the weight loss phase. I drew the attention of others in the Bright Line Eating community who asked if I would create a recipe resource to support other Bright Line Eaters, and thus Katie’s Bright Kitchen was born. While I am living happily in maintenance and currently exploring a more moderate approach to eating, this resource continues to support many Bright Line Eaters at all stages of their journeys. Enjoy!

Back Cover Description: “Katie is known for her great-tasting, soul satisfying plant-based cuisine, and is the host of the popular recipe blog Katie’s Bright Kitchen. Katie’s Bright Kitchen Cookbook is a hand-picked selection of over 100 cherished recipes that deliver nourishment and satisfaction to Bright Line Eaters.

Katie joined Bright Line Eating in October 2016. She lost 70 pounds following the program, cooking joyfully and eating deliciously throughout the weight loss phase. She drew the attention of others in the Bright Line Eating community who sought support with cooking palatable sugar and flour free meals, and thus Katie’s Bright Kitchen was born.

With color images for every recipe and tips, tricks and on-the-go meal wisdoms throughout, Katie has given those navigating the weight-loss food plan a much-needed resource that is sure to inspire. This cookbook is not officially approved or supported by Bright Line Eating™. However, Katie takes great care to make sure that her recipes are compliant with the BLE female weight loss food plan.

Katie’s Bright Kitchen Original Cookbook

I created two versions of the physical book, both are 8″ x 10″. One is a lighter, soft-cover book (to keep the cost down) and the other is a more durable hard-bound book. The content is exactly the same. There is also an ebook available via Lulu.com. Please note this is a fixed layout pdf and not a flowable e-book, although is viewable on any device or e-reader.

All versions include:

  • Over 100 Recipes
  • Mostly Plant-Based (a few recipes contain eggs)
  • No Sugar
  • No Sweeteners
  • No Flour
  • Tips, Tricks, and On-The-Go Meal Ideas
  • Recipes are broken down into food categories and specific amounts according to the Bright Line Eating female weight-loss food plan
  • Maintenance modifications for each recipe
  • Color images for every recipe

Click HERE to purchase the Softcover version for $28.00

Click HERE to purchase the Hardcover version for $38.00

Click HERE to purchase the ebook (pdf) version for $18.00

This book is self-published, hosted through blurb.com. That means that they handle all the printing and shipping. Please note that it takes a couple of weeks from the time of ordering to the time of receiving the book in the mail. Good news to all my international friends and followers overseas, blurb does ship all over the world! Unfortunately the shipping costs are a little higher though… sorry about that.

Have you bought this? Add a rating or review below!

“I am delighted with your cookbook. I am a 10 on SS but I need to cook for others in the house. I get a lot of complaints if I try to serve the same thing every day. Making some of your recipes help me not to also have to handle NMF for the rest of the family. You have made a major contribution and I thank you for that!!”

“I’m fairly new to BLE but LOVE your cookbook and recipes! There are so many foods that are part of BLE that I don’t have experience cooking. Your book provides the information and ideas for how I can incorporate them into my food plan. If I stuck with what I knew, I would not have been successful at this program. I needed more variety and you provided it. Thank you!”

“Katie, I love you and your cookbook! I generally keep it simple, yet sometimes need a change or some spark of different and your cookbook is there for me…it is simple in its own right! Keep your creativity flowing!”

“I am so happy to have one cookbook that has recipes I don’t have to change to remove the NMF. I am grateful for what you offer. Please keep up the great contribution”

“I find your recipes and cookbook to be one of the reasons my lines can stay bright! Your recipes actually help me to stay with the program and feel wonderful! Thank you for sharing your gifts!”

“I wholeheartedly recommend this beautifully put-together cookbook. I have made several of these recipes from her blog and have enjoyed them all. These are geared toward a plant-based diet but for those of us who aren’t completely plant-based, it’s easy to add animal protein instead if desired. They are delicious either way! It’s so handy to have the quantities already broken down into the necessary measurements since I’m on the Bright Line Eating weight-loss food plan. I’m a big fan of anything that makes my life easier! Buy this book and make this food! You won’t be disappointed!”

“There’ve been times when I’ve felt like my food choices were too limited on BLE and I was ready to give up but then I became encouraged again when I’d receive an email from you containing a new recipe. Your hard work and dedication is helping so many people, including me.I am delighted with your cookbook. I am a 10 on SS but I need to cook for others in the house. I get a lot of complaints if I try to serve the same thing every day. Making some of your recipes help me not to also have to handle NMF for the rest of the family. You have made a major contribution and I thank you for that!!”

“Like you, I go back and forth between simple meals and a recipe. I absolutely could not have made it 145 days without your incredible recipes. (Love your bright green book on my kitchen counter!) Thinking about doing “simple” for a lifetime makes me feel deprived and punished. It makes me profoundly sad. Having recipes is a fun project for me, does not trigger me in any way, and allows my family to really enjoy exciting meals together.”

  1. Yes!!! But the website is making me create an account. Drat. I don’t want to have an account. Sigh!

  2. Congratulations!! I just scurried over there and bought the digital upload. It’s awesome! I know I’ll be including more of these in my upcoming menus. <3

  3. Woo Hoo Katie!!! Well done!

I’m so excited to see the finished product! It’s going to be AMAZING, I know!!

Thanks again for making this cookbook, although I feel like I already have a cookbook from all of the recipes I’ve printed out and made from your website. Your recipes are so great, and you are a very talented chef. I hope you can really take that in…

Of course, I support your doing whatever works best for your recovery, but selfishly, I’m so happy you continue to make delicious food. Just as a side note, your chili-garlic tofu is so fantastic, that I found myself wanting it everyday, and had to step away from it. It’s THAT good!!!

Congratulations again to you! Thank you for your perseverance in getting your cookbook out into the world.

    xxoo,

    Dana

Thank you Katie. I got my digital copy yesterday and have it linked up with my e reader and printed off a copy for my kitchen. Thank you for staying true to the bright lines. I started about 4 months ago and am down 26 lbs. There are starting to be so many copy cats for BLE that I want to thank you for giving us recipes we can trust to be compliant.

How many pages in your e-book?

  22. LOVE this cookbook, so well done with pictures for quick and easy and more detailed good recipies I can easily substitute meat in if I so desire. I am doing BLE with a good friend in another state. I am sending her a cookbook today! I bought the soft back so I can write modifications in it. Thank you Katie for sharing your success, you are an inspiration!!!!

  23. Love the ebook Katie! So nicely laid out and beautiful pictures. Recipes are simple to follow. Thank you!

  24. How disappointing! So sorry Shannon. Hundreds of other people haven’t had any issues, I wonder why that happened. They don’t have a customer service line, you’ll need to use their message feature in the support tab of their website. What a bummer.

  25. Don’t worry Sharon, they are a good, reliable company. Did you check your junk mail? Not sure what the referral email thing was about though.
