Hi everybody!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday full of connection, gratitude, and strong resolve against all that food that we choose not to eat!

I had my second sugar-free, flour-free, and plant-based Thanksgiving this year, and it was so lovely. Food was pleasantly in the background of the day, and nobody even noticed me weighing my meal. I was so focused on enjoying the people that I honestly didn’t even think about the food, other than to feel and express gratitude for it. I am also really proud of myself for the two 48-hour train trips that I had with bright squeaky (packed) meals. I can say, over a year in, that this way of life really DOES get easier. It’s feels so automatic and normal to me now. I am amazed at how smooth this whole week has been.

Still, after all that traveling, it’s so nice to be back in my own food environment and routine. I’m enjoying a smooth re-entry of simple meals. I’m seriously loving my boring food right now. It helps me reset and regroup to keep things easy. So don’t expect any new recipes from me for a little bit! You’ll know when I get bored. 🙂
