Have you tried mindfulness meditation before and not stuck with a routine?
Or maybe you have a solid seated meditation practice but find the effects of it waning during a busy day?
Are you someone who depends on guided meditations, or think you can’t meditate because you can’t sit still or have too many thoughts?
Well, I think it’s time you met one of my very favorite people, Annette!
I met Annette through Bright Line Eating, and she instantly became one of my closest friends. Her enthusiasm about mindfulness is extremely contagious and I have already benefited so much from the tools and insights she has shared with me.
Annette’s passion for bringing mindfulness into others’ lives is inspired by her experience achieving sustained behavior change after many years of struggling with addictive behaviors around food.
She’s made a video about her journey, specifically tailored to those who have some experience with Bright Line Eating. Whether you’ve been successful in BLE, dabbled in it, decided that it’s not for you, or outgrown it, Annette has so much to offer you.
So, when Annette told me that she was working on a mindfulness course tailored specifically to Bright Line Eaters and anyone else who is working on transforming their relationship with food and weight, I immediately reserved myself a front row seat. And now I am out to tell everyone I know about this wonderful opportunity.
Annette’s upcoming Tame Eating Mindfulness Course will bring participants mindfulness practices that can lead to greater enjoyment of life, better coping with difficult emotions and craving states, shifting away from a “diet mentality”, and improved concentration based on the evidence-based structure of UM. The name of her coaching program, “Tame Eating”, refers to a calm approach to food – one that allows for true enjoyment and appreciation of food rather than using it as a tool for numbing challenging emotions or responding to stress.
One of the main things that drew Annette to the Unified Mindfulness (UM) system is the variety of techniques that can be strategically folded into her day, completely transforming her experience of daily life. Prior to learning the UM techniques, her morning meditation practice provided her with a beautifully calm start to her day that would often fade as her work life picked up in intensity. Now, she has a techniques that bring concentration, fun, ease, and curiosity on-the-go to: eating, driving, writing emails, conflict at work, talking on the phone, exercise, sex – you name it!
Annette is a certified mindfulness coach through the Unified Mindfulness system (UM). UM is a comprehensive system bringing together a number of contemplative mindfulness approaches in a clear secular framework. Institutions like Harvard Medical School, Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Vermont use it as the basis for their research on meditation and its application in the neurosciences, psychology, clinical sciences.
